What is Notion AI?
Notion AI brings generative AI capabilities directly into Notion's pages and databases. The Q&A feature is particularly powerful: you can ask questions about any content in your Notion workspace and get an answer with citations to the specific pages. Other features include auto-fill database properties, summarising meeting notes, generating project briefs, and rewriting content in different tones. Notion retired the standalone $10/month AI add-on in 2025 — full Notion AI (AI Meeting Notes, Notion Agent, Enterprise Search) is now bundled only into the Business plan and up, while Free and Plus get a limited trial of the same features. For students and freelancers who just need occasional AI help, the Plus plan's limited AI access still covers basic drafting and autofill; teams that want the full toolset need to be on Business.
